Economic Research Institute started its activity with the aim of promoting and expanding fundamental, applied and developmental research in the field of economics based on societal needs in January 1990 and received the definitive license agreement of Ministry of Science, Research & Technology (MSRT) in 1998.
Objectives:

Leading the subjects of the MA theses and PhD dissertations for the economics students of the university;

Providing a highly fertile ground for the scientific board, students, economic experts and other individuals who are interested in economic affairs;

Offering scientific and practical guidelines for solving economic problems of the society;

Promoting research spirit in the society in general and university in particular;

Providing consultancy service to executive organizations and policy makers;

Fostering the relationships between research centers and the researchers;

Training the researchers in different fields.
